Call for Special Session Proposals
IEEE Power India International Conference 2026 (PIICON 2026), the 12th edition in its prestigious series, invites professionals, researchers, academicians, and industry experts to propose Special Sessions (SS) on emerging and advanced topics related to power, energy, electric grids, and e-mobility.

Benefits of Special Sessions:
Special Sessions provide an opportunity to focus in detail on particular emerging topics that may not be fully reflected in the regular conference tracks, or represent specialized working fields where researchers wish to meet and discuss recent advances, challenges, and future directions.

Review Process:
Papers submitted to Special Sessions will undergo the same peer-review process as regular papers.
Special Session Chairs are responsible for organizing the review process and ensuring at least three independent reviews per paper, using qualified reviewers.
Conflict of Interest:
Before starting the review process, Special Session organizers must explicitly declare any conflict of interest. A conflict of interest arises when organizers are authors or have close association with the authors of a submitted paper. Such papers must be marked in the submission system and handled independently by the Technical Program Chairs.
Minimum Requirement:
Each Special Session must have:
If a session does not meet the minimum requirement, accepted papers may be merged into regular sessions.
Complimentary Registration:
At least one organizer of each successful Special Session must register and attend the conference and chair the corresponding session.
Organizers of a successful Special Session will receive one complimentary full registration, provided the session has at least 10 accepted and registered papers not authored by any of the organizers. Per 10 accepted and registered papers complimentary registration will be multiplied (ex: for 20 papers there will be 2 registrations for free).
Session Chairs:
Special Session organizers will serve as Session Chairs during the conference.
In exceptional circumstances, the Technical Program Chairs or General Chairs may appoint Session Chairs if organizers are unable to attend.
